Biography
Pietro Boccadoro was born in March 1985.
He received the second level Degree (with honors) in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Bari, Bari, Italy, in July 2015. Curious since he was a child, toys quickly turned into PCs, electronic boards, websites and so on. Since 2011, he contributes as a technical articles writer for Firmware, Fare Elettronica and other magazines. He worked as Content Manager for Elettronica Open Source. He collaborated with GeCo SaS as for content and communication managing and IT consultant. He’s been Electronic Designer & Project Management at Laserinn.
From 2015, Pietro Boccadoro carried out, with continuity, research activities within the Telematics Lab of Politecnico di Bari. He has been involved in the H2020 BONVOYAGE project, From Bilbao to Oslo, intermodal mobility solutions, interfaces and applications for people and goods, supported by an innovative communication network, as a Researcher at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica e dell’Informazione, Politecnico di Bari since October 2015. He also participated to research activities characterized by national and international collaborations, with: Istituto sui Sistemi Intelligenti per l’Automazione (ISSIA)-Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Italy. In November 2017, he started the PhD.
He has contributed in hardware implementation on embedded microcontroller with the specific aim of characterizing WSN Operating Systems for Industrial IoT applications based on the IEEE 802.15.4e Time Slotted Channel Hopping. He is also studying interactions between IoT devices and protocols with Robotic Systems.
