AGREED represents a new paradigm of phytosanitary surveillance based on the integration of advanced information technology, geomatics, forecasting, diagnostics and metabolomics, which cooperate with each other to support a sustainable phytosanitary management of fruit and vegetable crops in respect of the environment, the food safety and health of production. To this end, a multi-source IoT platform will be implemented, capable of transmitting continuous data flows (Big data) towards an analytical section that identifies and maps outbreaks of infection and intervenes through sustainable phytosanitary treatments. All prototypes developed in the project (diagnostic DRONE, field sprayer DRONE, field diagnostic devices and methods, field sensors, spray network, forecasting models, diagnostic and phyto-surveillance applications) are essential and functional elements of the system.
